    Cathay Pacific First

    on: B747-400 Three-Class (74A)

    10.0

The best of the recent groupings of new First Class in the air in my opinion, Cathay Pacific provides truly exceptional levels of comfort, service and style in elegant and contemporary surroundings. Cathay Pacific excel at innovation in seat design, priority (from check-in to baggage and ...

Upper deck, outside seat (A,K) are best here. Plenty of storage space and you don't get disturbed.

Great lounge at LHR. Row 2/3 are best on the upper deck for getting some undistured sleep!

I've been flying Upper Class with Virgin intermittedly since they started out in business including the new Upper Class suite - 6 sectors in the last 8 months - and I have to say that the current configuration is my least favourite to date. As a former swimmer and rower I have reasonably (but not ...

10D. Good for aisle access but because its the first row and it sticks out from the bulkhead (toilet) so you can get knocked by passengers on their way to the loo, club kitchen or crew with the trolley. Especially now the arm on the bed goes down! Otherwise good service but usual average food.

    Continental Airlines Business (short haul)

    2.3

The main reson to fly continental is the youth of the fleet and safety issues. First class brings priority check in, priority boarding and a bigger seat and precious little else. Indeed first class is always full as continental upgrades FFP members. Service and catering are simply appalling. ...

BA's first class is great except for the inbound catering ex US which is simply appalling. Brits never complan and US customers are so amazed by the rest of the product/service that I doubt BA gets many negative comments on the inbound catering. BA doesn't upgrade so First is often almost ...

A couple of points on what is still the only cost effective way to fly. Why not provide a fitted sheet with elasticated ends to apply to the seat for sleeping. As it is if your head leaves the pillow you end up rubbing your face in the bacteria of a hundered previous users and their food ...
