Question:

Dear Sir/Madame,

We are members of the IATA and have found the web information very useful.

We are travelling from Malta by these air flights, could you help me choose the right seating.

As my husband is quite a big man and as the flight is a rather long flight I would like to if possible choose a seat that would be the most comfortable.

Our flights are:

  • Malta to Frankfurt Terminal 1  LH 4129  16th August 2010  Arrival time 15 40
  • Frankfurt to Calgary Terminal 1  LH 494  17th August   Arrival time 11 35
  • Seattle Tacoma to Frankfurt Terminal 1 LH 491 29th August  Arrival time 0915
  • Frankfurt to Malta  Terminal 1 LH 4128  31st August  Arrival time 1210

I would be much grateful I you could assist me in my inquiry as I wouldn't like to be disappointed due to the fact of choosing the wrong seating.  We have never as yet travelled  such long distances.

Dear Mr and Mrs Desira,

We believe you will be travelling on three different types of aircraft on your long journey.

The Malta to Frankfurt flights are listed as an Airbus A321 and the Seattle-Frankfurt leg is an Airbus A330-300. Both of these are shown on our site.

The only complication is your Calgary flights, which are listed as an Airbus A340-300. Lufthansa has three different types of these, but as you will see from Seatplan.com, they are broadly similar in their cabin layout.
