Q&A: General - How?!

Published: 19/04/2010

Question

Dear Seatplans,

How do I pre-book my seats?

Picky Pickford

Answer

Hi Picky,

Which airline are you flying with? Some airlines, but not all, allow you to do it in a number of ways. The two most common methods are both done via the internet – either when booking your ticket or as part of the online check-in facility.

Please be aware that some airlines charge for seat reservation, for example British Airways which recently (and controversially) brought in extra fees for certain seats. However, you can still change your seat assignment with BA, for free, when checking in at the airport using one of its self-service machines.

Regards
