Flight(s) LCY - AMS AMS - LCY

Review: Completely hassle free at LCY. I have not been on a flight in years now and this 40 minute hop was barely a flight in the first place. There was very nice food and for no money either. Then even at schipol we got through passport control easily. Then there was a identical flight, Just the other way round on the way back.

Was on the same City Airport to Florence flights as mentioned in the review below save that the reviewer was prematurely reviewing the return leg. The flight did depart late but then screeched to a halt halfway down the runway - apparently due to a warning indicator. Flight was cancelled and most people flew back the following day.

Never ever again will I fly Cityjet

Flight LCY to FLR on 9 August at 09.25. Turned around halfway due to hydraulic problems and landed at London Stansted. Passengers were bussed back to LCY, put on a plane to Milan and dismbarked a coach at Florence airport at 1am to make their own way home (no buses or taxis). Return flight on 12 August, 2 hours delay due to technical problems.

Horrible airline, will never travel with them again. Neither should you if you value your time/safety.

Regular flights LCY - AMS on Cityjet by Air France.

City Airport very busy for this 9.25am daily flight. Check in desks for business and Frequent flyers was not manned..
They had no priority luggage labels "They haven't sent them for a month"...have heard this regularly...so i produced one from a pile i asked for from KLM, which surprised them!

Gate call was only 20 mins before departure, so queue along the terminal to the departure lounge to board.
No courtesy of pre-boarding for frequent flyers, despite it being rolled out as "Sky priority Worldwide".

Rear and front doors used at LCY always, cabin always over-packed as cabin baggage is never weighed measured or checked, and storage is reduced mid aircraft. Many clearly connecting in AMS for intercontinental flights.

Flight was almost full. Leather seats, comfortable for a 45 min flight. Windows inside were truly filthy, and have been on these aircraft for months, despite comments being made to them in Dublin and to AF.

You could scrape the deposits off the window, and still find them there next week! Really disgusting. The seat back pockets were also dirty with food stains, liquids clearly there for some time.

Pushed back and took off 25 minutes late. Always full engine brakes on, then sudden rapid take offs due to runway length at LCY.

Decent choice of a croissant from a basket offered on this flight (not on later flights!). They have just changed their catering supplier and an improvement has been noticed.

Hot drinks with a good decent coffee (unlike AF "Clix" style powder and hot water on AF flights, cold drinks juices, bar service. Un-remarkable flight over 45 mins. Arrived 10 minutes late after a 15 minute "Haarlem" runway landing.

Better service and some food and decent refreshments than BA on the same route, but the aircraft are getting shabby, poorly cleaned, and the standards are really dropping on Cityjet.

Equally their booking website has faults when sales are on, where set sales cannot be found. they blame Amadeus, for adding prices on, not taking them off.
As usual, it takes a passenger to remind them of what they cannot see...cleanliness, food standards, website?!! Cityjet are seriously missing the obvious, and need proper Managers to match many other Airlines from the LCY.

They have been in serious decline for some time now...

LCY to Dublin 7th June. Reservation made through Air France.

Appalling food - a dried up cheese sandwich, and a glass of wine that was so caustic it felt like it was burning my lips when I attempted to drink it. Needless to say it didn't get past a brief tasting.

Only a 1 hour flight I know, and was ok in other respects. But why do airlines like this feel they can get away with trying to feed passengers complete filth. With a ticket price of £265 for the return flight it certainly shouldn't be filth.

Hey ho.... another one to notch up as a "NEVER FLY WITH THIS BUNCH OF ****** AGAIN!" Unfortunately, I have to to get back to London City in a couple of days.

Flew from LCY to AMS.

Check-in was hassle-free as I did it through KLM's iPhone Apps.

Arrived about 30 minutes before scheduled departure time and went through the security and off to the plane in about 15 to 20 minutes. Was the 3rd last person to board the plane, but was greeted warmly by one of the 2 crew.

Both crew were friendly and attentive, snacks and drinks was offered but only opted the coffee.

Landed on time, and greeted by a nice NL borders guy and get through him in less than 3 minutes in which about the whole 3 minutes were used for informal chit chat as the terminal was empty.

However, an Italian lady beside me was being asked "reason to visit NL?" and she gave the funniest answer I have ever heard, it went something like this, "I have no idea, I just feel like visiting Amsterdam... eh? and I heard the boys are nice also"... dropping everyone's jaws and putting a smile on everyone's morning!

Going back to the review, I had only hand language, so can't comment!

Flight from Edinburgh to London City Airport.

Excellent flight, the flight itself was not too busy. However the service given by the c abin crew was fantastic, there was a wide range of complimentary - beverages on offer both alcoholic and the choice of either filled roll or sweet buscuits.

The cabin was clean, the seat was comfy and there was enough legroom even for me with my long legs.

Boarding was ok but only the front stairs were used which slowed things down a bit. But this is my only gripe

I would definitely fly with city jet again
