British Airways has ordered a total of 42 Boeing 787 aircraft, the first of which was due to arrive during 2013.
The B787 Dreamliners will come in two different variations - initially the first aircraft will be the B787-8 which will seat 214 passengers.
A later model - the B787-9 - will be longer and will seat more passengers, but Boeing is not delivering these until 2014 to the first airlines to have ordered them.
BA's configuration is as follows:
In World Traveller (economy) there will be 154 seats with a 3:3:3 configuration.
In World Traveller Plus (premium economy) there will be 25 seats in a layout of 2:3:2
In Club World (business) there will be 35 seats in the new Club World triple configuration of 2:3:2
The B787 does not have First class.
