Winner of Best Business Class at the Business Traveller Awards 2012
Club World is the business class product on British Airways long-haul flights. On short-haul flights it is Club Europe, and a different product.
When Club World was first introduced, it raised the bar for business class worldwide. It was the first fully-flat seat, and even today the innovative "Ying/Yang" design (where some seats face backwards) is unique.
Club World is in the process of finishing being upgraded, but both the old and the new seat are fully flat. The new Club World has a seat pitch of 73 inches, and a seat cushion width of 20 inches. The angle of maximum seat recline is 180 degrees, and the overall length of seat when fully reclined is a 6ft (183cm) flat bed.
At the same time as upgrading the seats, BA also took the opportunity to install new In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) which is audio and video on demand (AVOD). Originally the B767 fleet was due to be phased out, but delays to the B787 Dreamliner, and changing strategy means it is here to stay and they now have the new Club World seating.
Although all Club World seats are the same, people have preferences as to whether they like to fly next to the window (though these seats are backward facing) or on the aisle (forward facing, but sometimes subject to disturbance).

LAX-LHR BA278 Check in at LAX was quick and polite, using the First desk. Security was busy but moving, the process taking about 15 minutes. Arrived at the Oneworld lounge and directed to the First lounge. The lounge is decorated mainly in grey and there is no natural light. Ample computers available for use and wifi good. Food offering a little limited, although the... more

Shortie flew British Airways Club World, on a B777-200 (Four class)
I flew from Newark to Heathrow on the 21.25 departure on a Saturday evening. Upon arrivals, the dopey taxi driver dropped me on level 3 despite me telling him to go to level 1. Thankfully ground staff helped me with my bags to the check-in counter. Check-in was fast and staff were very friendly. There was a fast-track lane at security, but as only one lane was open... more
