Wizz Air includes three airlines; Wizz Air Hungary (airline code W6), Wizz Air Bulgaria (airline code 8Z) and Wizz Air Ukraine (airline code WU). Kiev-Luton-Kiev flights are operated by Wizz Air Hungary.
Wizz Air is a low cost airline which first flew in 2004. It now has bases in Katowice, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Poznan in Poland; Budapest in Hungary, Sofia in Bulgaria; Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca and Timisoara in Romania; Kiev in Ukraine and Prague in the Czech Republic. A base in Belgrade, Serbia, is due to open in April 2011.
Wizz Air was set up by chief executive Jozsef Varadi and Hungarian investors in 2003 and remains under their ownership.

Like most budget carriers, Wizz Air only operates one aircraft type, in this case the Airbus A320, on which are fitted the maximum 180 seats. Wizz Air has a fleet of 34 aircraft, with plans to operate 132 by 2017. Passengers wanting extra legroom can reserve exit seats for a small fee using Wizz Air's website.
