On long-haul aircraft, United’s Economy Plus offers a 37-inch seat pitch, five inches more than economy, but has no other advantages to the normal economy cabin, as passengers receive the same food and must pay for alcoholic drinks.
The cabin is found on all Boeing 747s, 767-300, 757-200 and some Boeing 777-200s. It is being fitted to Boeing 767-400s and the remaining 777-200s.
There are seat-back videos on B777 and B767-300 aircraft that fly international routes.
Economy Plus is also offered on specially-configured Premium Service aircraft that fly from JFK to Los Angeles and San Francisco. On these services, seat pitch is around 36 inches.
When all the United aircraft have been refitted, more than 700 aircraft will offer the Economy Plus product.

We paid $99 each for seats in premium economy and were really disappointed. We expected to have better food and free alcohol on an intercontinental flight. We were charged $7 for a small bottle of wine and the food was poor. My inflight touch screen was unresponsive, I had to struggle to get the program I wanted. Never again will we pay extra for such a poor service.... more
