Thomas Cook's long-haul economy product on its Airbus A330s is better than scheduled carriers in terms of legroom. All these aircraft offer a basic 33-inch seat pitch, two inches more than British Airways or Virgin Atlantic.
If you are travelling with a tour operator, the level of service you receive on board will vary, but expect to pay for drinks at least. If you are booking flight-only, you will need to pre-order and pay for a meal. This will cost from £12 for the return flight.
If you are travelling with a tour operator, it is likely that a hold baggage allowance will be included in your ticket price. If you are travelling on a flight-only ticket, one bag up to 20kg will cost £28 one way for flights of more than seven hours and £22 for flights of between three and seven hours.
Seating a family of four together, with seat numbers given out at the airport, will cost £72 for the return journey. However, if you bought your ticket through a tour operator and want to choose your seat online, the charge will vary.
Exit seats are an extra £80 return per adult.
