Thomas Cook Airlines (airline code MT) is the UK's second-biggest charter airline. It is based at Manchester airport. It began life in 1999 as JMC Airlines following the merger of the charter carrier Flying Colours and Caledonian Airways. It was rebranded to its current name in 2003 and given a new livery in 2013 using the Sunny Heart branding.

The airline derives its existing size and ownership to the merger of Germany's Thomas Cook AG and MyTravel, together with their respective airlines, in June 2007. This led to the formation of Thomas Cook PLC, a company quoted on the London Stock Exchange.

Thomas Cook Airlines flies to all the major short-haul leisure destinations. It serves a handful of long-haul leisure destinations, particularly Orlando and the Dominican Republic.

Thomas Cook ended 2013 in investment mode, giving itself a new image and ordering a fleet of 23 aircraft for its UK and German airlines. Six Airbus A321s featuring the new Sunny Heart logo and yellow and white livery will fly from the UK to short and medium-haul destinations from summer 2014.
