All Swiss business class seats, long and short-haul, have their own phone, as well as power and network connections for laptops. Airbus A330 seats also offer an SMS text messaging service.
The newest business class seating is fully flat in either a 1-2-1 or 1-2-2 configuration in alternate aisles, meaning that eight out of every nine seats has direct access to an aisle (Finnair has the same seating configuration on its new generation A330-300 aircraft). The new Swiss business cabin was due to be installed on around a third of the carrier’s long-haul fleet by the end of 2010 and is now available from Swiss US gateways: Boston, Chicago, Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Newark, & San Francisco.
Fully reclined, the seat is two metres long, has an integrated massage function, USB and iPod sockets and a bigger 16:9-format inflight entertainment screen. The new Swiss seats have pneumatic seat cushions developed by Swiss manufacturer Lantal, which allow the firmness of each seat to be individually set for each seating position.

Very pleasant flight Zurich-Miami, very nice services at the airports (Rome-Zurich and Miami and back) and very high level service on board. Good meals, kind personel and a lot of choise of entertaiment. The seat in Business can became a usefull bed! more
