South African Airways' short-haul economy class offers a 31-32-inch seat pitch, in line with most other full service airlines. Seats are 17 inches wide and have a recline of 3.6 inches.

A feature film and short programming, depending on the length of the flight, will be shown via overhead screens. Games are only found on long-haul entertainment systems.

Some form of food and drink will be served on all flights. SAA showcases South African wines onboard its flights.
