Singapore Airlines has several types of first class seating. On the Boeing 747-400 the SkySuite seat is upholstered in leather trimmed with Burrwood and can recline to any angle, including a fully flat bed. As it reclines, the seat automatically adjusts to provide better support.
On the Airbus A380 the seat is 35 inches wide, the largest seat in the sky, and upholstered in fine-grained leather with Mahogany wood trimming.
In spring 2013 the carrier announced a new first class product for its latest batch of B777-300ERs, which will serve London from September 2013, and its forthcoming A350 fleet.
The new seat - co-designed by BMW Group Designworks USA and manufactured by Jamco America - is 35-inches wide and, at 82-inches long, two inches longer than the former seat. It also features an "ergonomically sculpted" cushion, an adjustable headrest, a 24-inch LCD TV, video touch-screen handsets, a padded headboard and additional mattress layer.
Also worth mentioning are the first class Givenchy sleeper suit and suede slippers, the turndown service, fine linen and fluffy pillows, Ferragamo toiletries and perfume. There is ambient mood lighting throughout the cabin.
On the old Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, unveiled in 2007, the first class cabin comprises eight seats. There is a personal 23-inch HD LCD screen, surround sound and the latest in noise-cancelling headphone technology.

On my own I like to use the taxis but with the additional luggage as a result of all the shopping I booked a hotel limo.... more
