Voted Best Economy Class product at the Business Traveller Awards 2012
Singapore Airlines has several different types of economy class seating.
The newest version was revealed in spring 2013 for the carrier's latest batch of B777-300ERs, which will serve London from September 2013, and its forthcoming A350 fleet. The new seat (pictured) still has a 32-inch pitch but there is an additional inch of leg-room due to the design.
The seat itself has a new fabric design, backrest seat cushions with side bolsters and a headrest cushion, an 11.1-inch monitor with a touch-screen graphical user interface and video touch-screen handset with the latest KrisWorld entertainment system installed (below).
The carrier's 2007 economy class is fitted on Airbus A380, A330 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. These seats have a 10.6-inch wide personal entertainment screen which offers 100 movies, including the latest blockbusters.
There are more than 180 TV shows, an extensive library of 700 CDs and over 20 radio channels as well as 3D games, all available through a seatback-mounted handset. There is also a USB port located on the new economy class seat personal console, allowing passengers to access business software and create documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
Economy Class passengers receive amenity kits comprising a toothbrush set and a pair of knitted socks on overnight flights exceeding four and a half hours and day flights exceeding eight hours.
A range of toiletries including eau de cologne, aftershave and moisturising hand lotion are available in all Economy Class washrooms. Additionally, toothbrush sets, combs, and disposable razors sets are also available.

On the day of departure, I could leave my office on HK Island at 1pm to catch the 3:20 pm flight at ease.... more
