Singapore Airlines (airline code SQ) is the national airline of Singapore, founded in 1947 (originally as Malayan Airways).
The Singapore government investment and holding company, Temasek Holdings, owns 54 per cent of shares in the airline. Until 2013, the carrier owned 49% of Virgin Atlantic, but this stake was sold to Delta.
