On the Airbus 340-600 aircraft there are eight first class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration (A - E,F - G). NB: on the Qatar Airways website seatplan for this aircraft, this is shown incorrectly as A - E,F - A).
Behind these seats is the lounge area where passengers can relax and socialise, though with the weight of the A340-600, the current price of fuel and the reluctance of most first class passengers to socialise (unless in a large family group) Qatar Airways has decided to progressively remove the lounges to make room for more seats.
