The Boeing 737-800 is the mainstay of Qantas's short-haul fleet.
Seen here, there are 12 business class seats in a 2-2 layout (A,C - D,F) and 156 economy class seats in a 3-3 configuration (A,B,C - D,E,F).
By June 2013, Qantas will be operating 34 Next Generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft configured with 12 Business and 156 Economy. These aircraft will operate both Tasman and domestic services and will support the existing Boeing 737-800 fleet.
