Qantas has a number of slight variations in its economy seating within its international fleet following the introduction of new aircraft.
Across the fleet , seats feature lumbar support and adjustable headrest wings for extra head and neck support.
The economy seats on the Boeing 747-400, 767 and Airbus A330 fleet are currently being upgraded with a new colour scheme and Marc Newson designed fabrics and carpets. The seat is 17.5 inches wide, with a seat pitch of 31-inch pitch (78.7cms).
On the new Airbus A380, the pitch is, disappointingly, the same, and seats are only a fraction wider.
The Inflight Entertainment (IFE) system - Total Entertainment - is Audio and Video on Demand (AVOD) delivered to personal TV screens. It includes movie releases and computer games. There are also personal telephones in every seat featuring SMS with reply capability.

As all 8 of Emirates flights to London were full yesterday I found myself in need of another option hence used Qantas QF1, codeshare with EK. We booked seats 23 A @ B first row economy paid extra for the extra leg room, only to have a partition in front of us. Giving no view and less leg room. Not happy jan. more
