The 'new' business class seats are appalling - a throwback to 15 years ago. Not top line business class at all - nearly impossible to get sleep and very narrow. A disappointment!!

Booked 42K for extra leg room.
The A380 was very noisy in this part of the plane (and far less noisy in the back, which is entirely unusual!), the door gave a way a lot of noise, and the stupid hard-floor in the hall-way area is very noisy with the stewardesses wearing high heels.
As often when I fly MAS, the girls are quite good, but the Malay (more so than the Chinese) staff are pretty useless. This flight no difference.
The baggage belt in Charlie airport is entirely too small for ~500 folks.
The A380 is, however, very soft and smooth in rough weather. Excellent turbulence performance.

Being a taller lady, the legroom was very tight and thus to try to sleep could not stretch to take advantage of headrest, even with seat reclined. The food provided was not edible. On an earlier flight the food was good but on the second flight the meat was spicy Indian style which I cannot eat. Both selections were spicy--I was offered alternative (which was fair I might add). Apart from this the general service excellent but need to delete for food. The only other problem was for me seat too firm--no support for backside.

Very disappointed with new meal standards. For a full service airline the food has gone from quite acceptable 12 months ago to do you eat the food or the box it comes in. This is a disappointing move that will make people reassess who they fly with.
Most people will pay a bit more for safety, service, and facilities, too many airlines just think price is the reason people choose to travel while one airline compared to another. It is a consideration but not the only one.
It also appears that the leg room is less on the new 330 compared to the previous 777

Flew to Melbourne recently on MAS new A330 on business class. The seat are angle lie flat and leg room is not as good as those on the 777. There are more movie channels now on the IFE. Food on board is okay, nothing outstanding but the crew service is good. Overall a pleasant flight, not the best but its okay.
