Korean Air's long-haul economy cabin will vary according to which aircraft and route you fly on.
A refurbishment programme has begun, but some older Boeing 747s that are soon to be withdrawn from the fleet are not being refreshed, while some others, which are being withdrawn later, are. Confusingly, 26 Boeing 747s and 777s have already been fitted with new seats, but a completely new slimline type of seat is being fitted to aircraft that are being refreshed after May 2009.
The first of the newest cabin types will be seen on a brand-new Boeing 777-300ER that will fly on the Seoul-New York route from June 2009. Another 32 existing aircraft will be completed by March 2011 and the full total of 96 by 2014.
The new seats have a comparatively generous pitch of 33-34 inches. On some of the airline's Boeing 747s, economy class passengers have AVOD (Audio/video On Demand) on seat back screens. Currently, these screens measure 8.4 inches, but the new seats will have 10.6 inch personal TVs.
On select economy seats there are in-seat power supplies.

Airside flew Korean Air Economy, on a B777-200
I've never flown Economy class for a Long haul trip (DXB to ICN), I had a sudden visit to Korea due to Course attendance. I was amazed by the Comfortable Seats they offer in Economy class, for a Flight that Vary between 8 ~ 10 Hours I would definitely fly Korean Air Again on my destinations which are around korea. Hong Kong to Seoul May 09. Exceptional onboard service, polite and friendly cabin crew, attentive, nothing is too much trouble. On night/evening flight, blankets were given as well as face mask. The toilets are equipped with toothbrush, toothpaste, fragrance, water for face, etc. Two option meal service; Korean or western. The food was plentiful, hot and very nice.... more
