KLM's Economy Comfort product was introduced in 2009. It stops short of being a full premium economy product, but is aimed at those who need more legroom than economy provides or who are trading down from business class.
It is offered on short and long-haul flights.
Economy Comfort is situated at the front of the economy cabin and uses the same seating. Passengers also get the normal economy meal service, however, there is around four inches (10cm) more legroom and seats have twice the normal recline.
On long-haul flights, it is priced at €80-150 one-way, depending on sector length. However, full-fare economy passengers are automatically seated in this cabin. Flying Blue Gold members get 50% off and Silver card holders receive a 25% discount.
On short-haul services, you get up to 3.5 inches more legroom and in-seat power. It is priced at around €19-€30 (£16-£25) per one way flight.

The flight was LHR-AMS-CPT and the Economy Comfort on the long-haul sector gives you a handy 35" leg room and is definitely worth the extra money plus you get out the aircraft ahead of the masses. I chose KLM Economy Confort over BA WTP due to a large difference in cost for this ABZ/AMS/JFK/MIA/FLL/ATL/AMS/ABZ routing.
