Flight search
Iceland Express (airline code 5W) is a low-cost carrier operating from Reykjavik mainly serving the leisure traveller. The brand was due to disappear over winter 2012/13 after it was sold to rival WOW Air.
Ownership
The airline was founded by Iceland's Fengur, an investment company. In late 2012 it was sold to WOW Air, another Icelandic budget airline. WOW Air is owned by another investment company Titan, which is in turn owned by entrepreneur Skúli Mogensen. Other shareholders are the company's CEO Baldur Baldursson and Matthías Imsland.
