Iceland Express
Iceland Express (airline code 5W) is a budget carrier operating from Reykjavik to 18 European destinations, mainly serving the leisure traveller.
Ownership
The airline brand is owned by Iceland's Fengur, an investment company.
Route Network
Iceland Express began operations in 2003 with routes to London and Copenhagen. It now has a broad spread of destinations, including Sweden and Cyprus. In summer, it operates a direct route from Copenhagen and London Gatwick to Akureyri in northern Iceland.
For summer 2010, it will operate weekly from Birmingham to Iceland and also from London Stansted and London Gatwick to Iceland. It will also operate four times a week from Iceland to New York Newark.

Iceland Express flights are operated by Astraeus, a UK-registered airline based at London's Gatwick airport which specialises in leasing aircraft and crew.
