Gulf Air currently has three types of first class seat.
1. On the A330-200 'Sleeper" aircraft, there are only eight seats in a 1-2-1 configuration (A - E,F - K). They have an 80-inch pitch, a 180-degree recline and are 25-inches wide. Known as the Class 180 seat (because it reclines fully flat, or 180 degrees), the seat transforms into a full-size bed covered with fitted cotton sheets, over-size pillows and duvets. Passengers are also offered pyjamas and there are changing room facilities and a suit pack to store your day clothes.
The cabin is in a 1-2-1 configuration, so there is plenty of space and privacy. Seats are made of New Zealand wood with a leather finish and are draped with silk cushions. Special electrical features include a backrest, lumbar support, leg rest and leg rest extension. Each seat is fitted with a monitor showing 21 audio and video channels, Airshow, Camera Views, PC power points and a personal telephone. Toiletries are from Temple Spa.
2. On the A340-300 aircraft, there are 12 first class seats in a 2-2-2 configuration. Seat pitch is 74 inches, width is 21.25 inches and there is 17.5 inches of recline. Each seat is equipped with an individual 10.4-inch monitor showing 10 audio and 6 video channels.
3. On the A340-300 "Sleeper" aircraft there are eight seats in a 1-2-1 configuration (A - E,F - K) and seat pitch rises to 80 inches. The seat width is 25 inches and the recline 180 degrees fully-flat. Each has its own 15” IFE monitor showing 21 audio and video channels plus Airshow and Camera Views. There are also PC power points and a personal telephone.

JBBorden flew Gulf Air First, on a A340-300 Sleeper
Flew BAH-Shanghai. Seats do go flat - but are very lumpy, not quite like a bed at all. A nice duvet/comforter was provided, but the interior cabin was too hot to even think about using it. Was able to sleep the entire 10 1/2 flight, as the attendants honored by request not to be disturbed at all. more
