The main advantage of using Firefly is that it leaves from Subang airport so it saves a lot in time and money in getting there. Over the years the airport has been upgraded and it now is quite a good airport and very clean.

Checkin was straight forward and quick, we did it via the Internet so there was no delay. It is recommended that if you want any snacks you get it in the terminal building before you go through security as the prices charged there seemed to be quite eye watering.
While the plane was waiting outside we did not start to board until after its departure time then while we were on board we had a 3/4 hour wait until some tardy passengers turned up, it seemed that they had checked in then got delayed in the shops.

The flight to Penang was straight forward, it is a short flight and the snack was a drink and a piece of cake.

The baggage came out fairly soon after arrival then out to get a taxi and brave the Penang traffic. We got a taxi from the airport through the booking office there and full marks to the driver, he was very good and obliging in trying to find the address we had to go to. We were given the wrong address but the wife speaks Bahasia.
