Arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, Pearl business class seats recline 180 degrees (fully flat) into a six foot one bed with a seat pitch of 72 inches. The seat width is 19.1 inches, which can feel a little narrow for larger passengers.
The cabin's advantages are that seats face forward and have direct aisle access even when all seats are reclined. Each is equipped with a personal 15-inch LCD screen with plug and play feature that allows passengers to upload their own games and create personalised music playlists. In-flight telephony is also available on newer aircraft.
Etihad offers more than 450 hours of on-demand entertainment with a wide selection of films, television, audio programmes and CDs. Passengers can create their own personal entertainment programme, or pass the time with 28 games – all operated by Etihad’s innovative touch-screen technology.
On the ground facilities for Business Class passengers include chauffered door-to-door service using a fleet of Mercedes E Class and Volvo S80 vehicles. The Etihad Chauffeur is available from London Heathrow to a customer’s home, office or hotel and is complimentary up to a 100 mile radius of the airport. The service is also offered to any destination in the UAE and in Sydney and Bangkok.
Fast Track facilities are provided for passengers at London Heathrow Terminal 4.

AUH-LHR The lounge at AUH was busy, but not overcrowded and offered a pleasant and comprehensive breakfast buffet. Boarding was orderly, premium pax were called towards the end and the walk from the lounge to the gate is only a couple of minutes.
