Business class on this aircraft is mainly configured 1-2-1 downstairs (A - D,F - K) and 1-1 upstairs (A - K). Upstairs is preferable if travelling alone.
Downstairs, seat labelling in the nose of the aircraft is A - K, but the seats in the middle of rows 5 and 6 are labelled E. These are fully flat beds with a 79-81-inch pitch.
Delta is fitting its new seat across the 747 fleet, due for completion by 2013.
The new seat features a privacy screen incorporating pull-out meal table, fold-out video monitor, integrated footrest and personal stowage compartment for bags, shoes or blankets. They also offer immediate access to the aisle so customers do not have to disturb another passenger when exiting their seat.
The new seats feature:
* A full-size pillow, quilted duvet comforter, and new dinnerware; duvet and pillow with amenity kit
* Delta's on-demand digital entertainment with hours of music, videos, TV programming and games shown on a 10.6 inch screen
* PC power and USB port for charging small electronic devices
* Oversized consoles for every passenger, giving more workspace.

* Ergonomic lumbar support
