Delta (airline code DL) is a US-based airline founded in 1924.

Delta is the mainline component of Delta Air Lines Inc, a company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. In December 2012 Delta purchased a 49% stake in Virgin Atlantic from Singapore Airlines, forming a transatlantic partnership similar to that of British Airways and American Airlines.

Delta's main hub is Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport - the world's busiest airport in terms of passenger numbers. Including its worldwide alliance partners, Delta offers customers more than 13,000 daily flights, with hubs in Amsterdam, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Detroit, Memphis, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York-JFK, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Salt Lake City and Tokyo-Narita.
