Cebu Pacific (airline code 5J) is a low-cost airline based in the Philippines which began flying in March 1996 and launched international operations in November 2001. The airline's main base is in Manila and it has a secondary hub at Cebu.

Ownership

The airline is a wholly-owned subsidiary of JG Summit Holdings, a conglomerate with interests in many sectors including property development, food and petrochemicals. It is controlled by the wealthy Filipino-Chinese Gokongwei family.

Route Network

As well as an extensive domestic network, Cebu Pacific now flies to Bangkok, Guangzhou, Ho Chi Minh, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Kaohsiung, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Macau, Osaka, Pusan, Shanghai, Seoul, Singapore and Taipei.

Other Information

Cebu Pacific operates a fleet of 18 Airbus aircraft (10 A319s and eight A320s) and three ATR 72-500 aircraft. It claims to have the youngest fleet in the Philippines.
