Cathay's first class is only available on its B747-400 and B777-30ER aircraft.
On the B747-400 there are nine seats, and on the B777-300ER just six seats in two rows. Configuration is either A-K and A-D-K on the B747-400, or 1-1-1 (A-D-K) on the B777-300ER.
The First Class Suites transform into a 6'9" bed that is three feet wide and has a massage function. The suite includes a wardrobe with sleep suit, pillow and duvet.
TVs are 17-inch with on demand entertainment.
The new First Class cabin provides more space and privacy. As with other first class flat beds on other airlines, seats can be set up in an armchair, chaise longue or bed fashion, and the added comfort of a mattress, duvet and lumbar massage function. Cathay believe their bed is the largest provided on any commercial airline. An ottoman in the suite and an extendable table means you can invite someone to join you for dinner, if you want.
The individual IFE screens are larger than the ones offered in the old product, with AV on demand.
Work surfaces and in-seat power are provided, converting the suite into a workstation.
All cabin baggage can be stowed in the suite itself.
The amenity kits are Acca Kappa and Ermenegildo Zegna travel bags from Italy – and for women – Aesop products from Australia and Ipa-Nima travel pouch.

The Best 3.5 hours on a plane ever! I have recently flown Cathay Pacific between Hong Kong and Singapore. The outbound flight was business and the rather unfortunate old cradle seat. Best seats and service in far east, but worst frequent flyer program Marco Polo Asia Miles, as it offers no bonus miles if you actually fly CX as opposed to other oneworld airlines, so no miles incentive to actually fly CX, as opposed to BA, AA, QF, SA and the like more
