CSA Czech Airlines

CSA Czech Airlines (airline code OK) is the national carrier of the Czech Republic, based in Prague. It is a member of the Skyteam alliance.

Ownership

The Czech government holds 91.51% of the airline's share capital, with the remainder held by other Czech institutions. It was planned to sell off a stake to a major airline in 2009 during a privatisation process, but the economic conditions may prompt a postponement of this strategy.

Potential investors include fellow Skyteam member Air France/KLM and Aeroflot, with which CSA has a strategic alliance.

Route Network

CSA mainly flies throughout Western and Eastern Europe, central Asia and the Middle East. However, it also has services to New York and Toronto.

Other Information

CSA is a full-service carrier despite having to compete heavily with budget airlines taking tourists to Prague.
