Batik Air (airline code ID) is a full service airline based in Manado, a city in the North Sulawesi province of Indonesia.

The carrier was established in summer 2013 by Lion Air, a budget airline which is based in Indonesia's capital Jakarta. It is intended that Batik Air will serve the east of the country and east Asia and compete with the main Indonesian airline, Garuda. Unlike its parent carrier, Batik Air offers a two-class cabin.

The airline began operations with a number of domestic routes but plans to expand internationally.

Batik Air has a small fleet of Boeing 737-900ERs. These have personal TVs and offer seat pitches of 32" in economy and 45" in busines class.

The airline has signed a commitment with Boeing to order five 787s by 2015. These will be used for long-haul routes.
