Austrian is in the process of installing a new long-haul business class product (as pictured to the right) which is a full-flat seat with a pitch of 44 inches and a full length of 1.96 metres. There is a new in-flight entertainment system which is on demand, with a 15 inch screen.

The first converted aircraft is due to take off by the end of 2012 and the entire refit is due to be complete by winter 2013, on both the B777 and B767 long-haul aircraft.

Austrian's old long-haul business cabin offers a seat that converts into a lie-flat bed (it reclines to 172 degrees), offering up to 60 inches (150cm) of legroom.

Meal service includes an appetiser and aperitif followed by an entrée from the trolley, soup and a choice of three main courses. Meals are rounded off by a selection of cheese and fruit or dessert. Business class cabins have a chef on board to put finishing touches to dishes from DO & CO.

Shortly before landing there is a hot or cold breakfast or snack, depending on the time of day. Austrian's Café Service offers 11 Austrian coffee specialities prepared with blends from its partner Meinl.

The seats are quite comfortable with good width and pitch. They are angled lie-flat and not that comfortable for sleeping in the fully flat or sleep position.
