Austrian is installing a new long-haul business class product (as pictured to the right) which is a full-flat seat with a pitch of 44 inches when upright and a full length of 1.96 metres when extended. There is a new in-flight entertainment system which is on demand, with a 15 inch screen offering more than 100 hours of programmes.
All the Boeing 777s now have this seat and all the 767s were due to have it by the end of 2013.
Meal service includes an appetiser and aperitif followed by an entrée from the trolley, soup and a choice of three main courses. Meals are rounded off by a selection of cheese and fruit or dessert. Business class cabins have a chef on board to put finishing touches to dishes from DO & CO.
Shortly before landing there is a hot or cold breakfast or snack, depending on the time of day. Austrian's Café Service offers 11 Austrian coffee specialities prepared with blends from its partner Meinl.
