Air AsiaX uses the four-engined Airbus A340 on its London service. The aircraft are ex-Air Canada, and, throughout 2009, will remain in their previous owner's configuration. This means that economy seats have a reasonable 32/33-inch pitch while the XL cabin has a generous 60 inches of legroom.
By June 2010, all of Air AsiaX's long haul A330s and A340s will have new lie-flat premium seats. Premium capacity will be cut from 30 to 18 per aircraft, allowing for more rows in economy.
