Air AsiaX's long-haul A330-300 aircraft are mostly brand new and are configured in two classes for 295 passengers, including 30 in the airline’s new XL premium class.
In total, the Air Asia Group has placed firm orders with Airbus for 200 aircraft, comprising 25 A330s for Air AsiaX and 175 single aisle A320s for the short-haul operation.
All of Air Asia X's long-haul A330s and A340s have new lie-flat premium seats. Premium capacity has been cut from 30 to 18 per aircraft, allowing for more rows in economy.
