Air New Zealand took delivery of its first Boeing 777-300ER twin jet in April 2011, with the aircraft entering service on the Auckland to Los Angeles route. The aircraft serves the London Heathrow - Los Angeles - Auckland route.
Passengers flying on the B777-300ERs will experience ANZ's new economy, premium economy and Business Premier products.
This was the first ANZ aircraft to feature the Skycouch, a set of three adjoining seats that can be sold for a discounted price and converted into a single sleeping surface. Skycouches will be available on the first 11 rows of economy only.
The B777-300ER replaces ANZ's fleet of Boeing 747-400s.
