Air France has unveiled its first A380 in the airline's red, white and blue livery. The new aircraft, pictured here in Hamburg, Germany, is the first of 12 on order, for delivery between winter 2009 and spring 2012.
The first A380 will operate a daily flight between Paris Charles de Gaulle and New York JFK from November 2009. The A380 is also expected to serve flights to Tokyo Narita.
The 538-seat A380 offers 80 business class and 106 economy class seats on the upper deck, and nine first class and 343 economy class seats on the main deck.
Air France will be the first European carrier to operate the A380 on any route.
