Air France is in the process of renaming its economy class products, from Tempo to Voyageur. This will apply to all flight lengths, from short to long haul.
Short-haul aircraft offer a comparatively poor 30-inch (76cm) pitch with a 17-inch (44cm) width.
On medium-haul flights, a premium economy option is available, called Tempo Challenge, but seat pitch remains the same, as it is merely a section at the front of the economy cabin and retains the 3-3 configuration.

From January 2010, Air France will begin fitting a new seat on its domestic fleet (A319s, A320s and A321s). The Recaro-designed seat pictured here is lighter than the current short haul one, and apparently the most comfortable in the world, according to Air France.
The seat will add 2-3" more pitch, as well as having a 15 degree recline. Air France says that at 40% lighter, once fitted across its domestic fleet the seat will cut its CO2 emissions by around 52,000 tonnes per year.

LHR-CDG June 2009. The flight was delayed and the onboard service disappointing. The aircraft interior appears old and in need of freshing up. The seats are small and uncomfortable. The in flight magazines are informative and nice. Surprisingly, the crew on this flight were quite friendly. more
