Short-haul business class on Air France is the traditional business class product with full flexibility and 2-2 seating. A tray table replaces the middle seat in the first few rows of each aircraft. Service includes a snack or meal depending on time of day, lounge access and two pieces of checked baggage.
It is distinct from Premium Eco, which is a traditional economy product and seating but with added ticket flexibility.
Both fare types allow you to modify or have your tickets reimbursed without paying a fee. There is also automatic check-in and you will receive your boarding pass via e-mail 30 hours prior to departure.
Air France is fitting a new seat on its domestic fleet (A319s, A320s and A321s). The Recaro-designed seat pictured here is lighter than the current short-haul one. The seat adds 2-3 inches more pitch, as well as having a 15 degree recline. Air France says that at 40% lighter, once fitted across its domestic fleet the seat will cut its CO2 emissions by around 52,000 tonnes per year.

The ambience of business class is non-existant. There is no divider and not even a different colour of headrest to tell you you are in... more

AF flights from Amman to CDG are flown by A320. The business class configuration is the European type. It is the same economy class seating with the middle seat folded forward. The worst part is that the seat pitch remains at 32-34 inch (similar to the economy class) with no thigh nor foot support. The flights are an average of 4 hours and depart at 0125. Can AF... more
